Job summary

Texas A&M University’s J. Mike Walker Department of Mechanical Engineering in College Station seeks a Program Coordinator I to support planning and execution of programming in Mechanical Engineering.

This role coordinates events, communications, and office operations on the main campus. The position requires a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience with at least two years of related work; travel reimbursements on Concur and grant account monitoring are helpful

• Two years of related experience required.
• Experience with travel reimbursements on Concur and monitoring grant accounts are helpful.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement program events such as conferences, seminars, lectures, meetings and workshops.
• Assist in preparation and monitoring of budgets for programs and events; respond to inquiries regarding program offerings.
• Coordinate program communications and marketing; compile program statistics.
• May supervise program staff and manage the office; provide confidential administrative support and liaison with other offices.
• Gathers, enters, and updates data to maintain departmental records and databases; establish files and records for the office.
• Assist in preparation of equipment inventory and internal reports; create databases to track administrative files and records.
• Develop and update training materials and deliver training sessions; perform other duties as assigned.
