Responsibilities
  • Provide technical and specialized professional services for the Boards of Barber and Cosmetology, including financial operations management.
  • Supervise and train staff supporting administrative and licensing functions for these Boards.
  • Serve as the point of contact and coordinator for continuing education providers, associations, and schools related to these Boards.
  • Coordinate with testing services to provide data for examinations and licensing processes.
  • Assist with processing licensure applications, board meetings, and respond to inquiries about licensing procedures.
Minimum Qualifications
  • High school diploma and relevant program experience.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of applicable laws, regulations, policies, and procedures for Barber and Cosmetology programs.
  • Judgment and discretion in interpreting laws and regulations.
  • Ability to follow complex instructions.
  • Proficiency with office equipment and computers.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Exceptional customer service skills.
Other Requirements
  • Work in an office environment with extended sitting and standing.
  • Use of computers, telephones, and daily record filing.
  • Occasional work outside normal hours.
  • Ability to lift and move objects up to 25 lbs.
