Program Coordinator I (Boards of Barber and Cosmetology)

Job Responsibilities
  • Provide technical and specialized professional services for the Boards of Barber and Cosmetology, including managing financial operations.
  • Supervise and train staff providing administrative support and licensing functions.
  • Serve as the point of contact and coordinator for continuing education providers, associations, and schools.
  • Communicate with testing services to provide data for examination scoring as part of licensing.
  • Process licensure applications, assist with board meetings, respond to inquiries, and provide accurate information.
Minimum And Additional Requirements
Minimum Qualifications
  • High school diploma and relevant program experience.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of applicable state laws, regulations, policies related to Barber and Cosmetology programs.
  • Judgment and discretion in interpreting laws and regulations.
  • Ability to follow complex instructions.
  • Skills in office equipment and computers.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Exceptional customer service skills.
Other Requirements
  • Work in an office environment with extended sitting and standing.
