Job summary

Prairie View A&M University in Prairie View, Texas seeks a Program Coordinator I to support College of Engineering outreach, recruitment, and event coordination. You will manage summer camps, coordinate competitions, and represent the college at career fairs and community events.

Responsibilities

  • Summer Camp Management – plan, organize, and manage all aspects of the College of Engineering summer camps.
  • Oversee the coordination of student competitions and hackathons.
  • Lead coordinator for large-scale recruitment and outreach events, including Panthers Day on the Hill and Senior Day on the Hill.
  • Coordinate, plan, and organize K-12 events.
  • This includes Elementary Day, Middle School Day, High School Preview Day, and College of Engineering College Day.
  • Attend career fairs, school visits, STEM nights, and other community events as a representative of the college.
  • Design and regularly update college brochures, flyers, email campaigns, presentations, and promotional merchandise.
  • Coordinate tours of the College of Engineering's facilities for prospective students, parents, educators, and VIP guests.
  • Collect, organize, and review photos post-event to select high-quality images for marketing, reporting, social media, and website updates for the College of Engineering.
  • Collect, track, and analyze data related to outreach, recruitment, and student success programs.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Three years of related experience (communications, administrative office positions, and similar roles are related).
