Job summary

Fit4Kids is seeking a full-time Program Coordinator in the Greater Richmond region to deliver health coaching at childcare centers, lead cooking classes for children, and provide cross-program support. This in-person role requires afterschool availability and transportation.

Qualifications

• Ability to work in person across Richmond, Henrico, Chesterfield, Hopewell, and Petersburg.
• Availability to work late afternoons during afterschool hours and some evenings.
• Access to reliable transportation.
• Demonstrated commitment to a healthy lifestyle.
• Experience working with groups of children and leading educational sessions.
• Experience in health coaching, nutrition education, early childhood education, or cooking instruction is a plus.
• Flexible, adaptable team player who is comfortable shifting between programs.
• Strong interpersonal communication skills, both oral and written.
• Attention to detail and multitasking.
• Experience interacting with ethnically and socio‑economically diverse communities.
• Knowledge of computer and internet‑based programs for communicating with colleagues and reporting program data.
• Ability to submit a complete background check.

Responsibilities

• Deliver health coaching sessions at partner childcare centers.
• Plan, prepare for, and lead in-person cooking classes for children.
• Provide program coverage and support for other Fit4Kids programs as needed.
• Support the growth and implementation of new and existing Fit4Kids initiatives.
• Maintain communication between Fit4Kids staff, childcare center staff, school staff, families, and community partners.
• Collect and enter data for program evaluation requirements to ensure program effectiveness.
• Assist with program materials, supplies, and logistics.
