Job summary

Greater Richmond Fit4Kids, in partnership with AmeriCorps, provides direct service in schools and community settings across the Richmond region to promote healthy lifestyles, physical activity, and nutrition education for children and families.

AmeriCorps members serve part-time schedules during the 2026–2027 program year, engaging outdoors, supporting gardens and bike education, and collaborating with schools and partners.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; willingness to obtain additional certifications as needed.
• Comfortable working outdoors and engaging with children of varying ages.
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with schools and community partners.

Responsibilities

• AmeriCorps members provide direct service through Fit4Kids programs in schools and community settings.
• Lead educational activities, facilitate physical activity, and support family engagement initiatives.
• Collect program data and assist with community outreach and volunteer projects.
