Work Schedule

Monday - Friday - 9 a.m. - 5 p.m.


Hybrid Work Arrangement

This position may be eligible for a hybrid work arrangement that may include a partially remote work location, consistent with System Office policy. UNC Chapel Hill employees are generally required to reside within a reasonable commuting distance of their assigned duty station.

Primary Purpose of Organizational Unit

As part of the Division of Student Success, Academic Excellence supports Carolina's commitment to creating a top experience for students through an integrated ecosystem that directly connects students' academic experiences to life after Carolina, ensuring that degrees, experiential learning and skill development translate into meaningful post-graduate success. The Office of Interprofessional Health Initiatives (IHI) Interprofessional Health Initiatives within Academic Excellence supports the intentional integration of interprofessional education, practice, and collaboration across UNC-CH. The mission of this unit is to support interprofessional endeavors that enhance the capacity and capability to improve health outcomes. Interprofessional Health Initiatives contains the Office of IPEP, Office of Health Professions Advising, and UNC Rural, all pan-university initiatives with many internal and external partners. Specific to the Office of IPEP, collaborating units include the Schools of Business, Dentistry, Education, Medicine, Nursing, Pharmacy, Public Health, and Social Work; the department Health Sciences; Biomedical Engineering, and the Health Sciences Library. Building on this collaborative powerhouse of institutions with rich traditions of excellence, UNC-CH is uniquely positioned to transform health and human systems by preparing students, faculty, staff, and practitioners from different disciplines to work better together.


Position Summary

This position may be eligible for a hybrid work arrangement that may include a partially remote work location, consistent with System Office policy. UNC Chapel Hill employees are generally required to reside within a reasonable commuting distance of their assigned duty station. The program coordinator will focus primarily on supporting the Office of Interprofessional Education and Practice (IPEP) and may have other program coordinator duties across the larger unit of Academic Excellence. This position will serve as the project coordinator for multiple community and academic partnerships. They will collaborate with the Senior Associate Provost, Deput Director, and faculty members to support faculty, students, and community partners; managing logistics that support events and programs and supporting the growth and sustainability of interprofessional initiatives at UNC. They will be responsible for the coordination of interprofessional students and logistics for courses and events and also faculty support. This position will plan, coordinate, administer, and monitor activities including but not limited to sending regular communication to faculty partners and student participants, Canvas and classroom management, room reservations, roster creation and management, and summarizing evaluation materials. The program coordinator reports to the Deputy Director for Interprofessional Health Initiatives.


Minimum Education and Experience Requirements

Bachelor's degree in business administration or a related discipline; or an equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.
