Department Information
DEPARTMENT SPECIFIC TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Coordinates CARPE outreach and education programming and activities designed to increase AOD education, prevention and awareness of CARPE services and resources
  • Assists with strategic planning, assessment, and evaluation of addiction recovery, education and prevention initiatives
  • Supports efforts to conduct needs assessments, annual surveys, and program evaluations to measure effectiveness and impact of Center for Addiction Recovery, Prevention and Education's (CARPE), programs and services.
  • Maintains collaborative relationships with Marietta campus partners including Academic Affairs, Student Affairs, and student groups to facilitate collegiate recovery programming and education and prevention services
  • Provides comprehensive, non-judgmental, student-focused Marietta collegiate recovery programming based on evidence-based strategies and recovery-informed research to support the recruitment, retention, progression and graduation of CRP students
  • Ensures student participation data for programs, events, and activities is accurately collected, maintained, and tracked to support assessment, reporting, and compliance.
  • Provides support for divisional priorities and initiatives beyond the scope of the department, as requested

  • Available to work evenings and weekends for programming with students

Job Summary

Plans and implements program initiatives for the assigned college, department, and/or unit. Participates in the generation of program resources, communication, design and development of operating goals, objectives, and protocols. Serves as primary point for program implementation and operational matters. Provides technical, professional and programmatic guidance, consultation, and support.

This position is considered limited-term staff since it utilizes contingent funding. Continued employment is contingent upon availability of grant funding for this position.
Responsibilities
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Develops, plans, and coordinates the implementation and execution of programs, special projects, events, and other initiatives designed to achieve the overall mission, goals, and objectives of the assigned program(s) and/or department(s)
  • Oversees and administers all facets and activities related to day-to-day operations of the assigned program(s) and/or departments
  • Serves as liaison with internal and external clients on all matters relating to program and/or department activities
  • Provides, administers, and/or coordinates the provision of technical guidance, consultation, and related support to clientele within area of program focus
  • Assists with forecast projections and budget for each fiscal year and evaluates progress towards financial goals and may be responsible for the program or department¿s purchasing card (PCard)
  • Prepares and delivers presentations and collateral for program and/or department and events
  • Coordinates and administers the collection, compilation, and analysis of program activity data, prepares comprehensive program reports and evaluation summaries
  • May coordinate, administer and monitor social media presence and program outreach
  • May supervise and/or lead assigned staff and/or students assistants
Required Qualifications
Educational Requirements

Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution of higher education in related field

Required Experience

One (1) years of related work experience

Other Required Qualifications

Current, valid and unrestricted driver's license
