Applied Research Solutions is seeking a Program Controller to manage financials for multiple government contracts. The role collaborates with Program Managers, Contracts, and Accounting to ensure accurate reporting, funding sufficiency, and timely financial updates.

Early-career applicable with gov contract exposure. The ideal candidate has attention to detail, strong communication, and the ability to coordinate with stakeholders for monthly close and reporting.

Qualifications

• U.S. citizen with ability to obtain clearances.
• 2+ years budget, funding tracking, or burn-rate experience.
• Proficiency in Excel (formulas, lookups, pivot tables).
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines and month-end reporting.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain project trackers for funding, costs, and labor
• Monitor and update funding for subcontractors and programs, flag shortages
• Review subcontractor and vendor invoices for accuracy and contract terms
• Set up employees and subcontractors in the project timekeeping system
• Verify revenue and costs monthly and resolve discrepancies
• Prepare monthly funds status and man-hour reports
• Assist with annual budgets and man-hour forecasts
• Create and maintain purchase requisitions for subcontractors
• Review and process employee expense reports
• Enter contract modifications into the accounting system, coordinating with Contracts
• Support audits, reviews, and ad hoc requests from program and finance leadership
• Other duties as assigned
