Responsibilities

The Program Control Specialist - (Associate) provides Program life-cycle activities such as project setup/maintenance, financial management/tracking, invoicing support, and accruals. The Associate will be working on large prime contracts with GSA, experience with government contracting, and different contract types (CP, T&M/FFP) is necessary to excel. Day-to-day functions include communication with different Project Managers and Support teams (Finance, Accounting, Contracts, Sub Contracts). The Associate will be working within multiple financial excel spreadsheets, Smartsheets, Deltek Costpoint, and Power BI.

Your essential job functions will include but may not be limited to:

1. Assist the Program lead Project Control Specialist and the Program Manager fulfill the financial, administrative, and reporting requirements for the Government customer.
2. Track Government funding: manage man-hours and material/travel expenses to ensure that funding is managed accurately and appropriately.
3. Process and record travel requests for employees on various contracts.
4. Ensure that all travel is planned, coordinated, approved, and executed within the guidance and regulations set forth by contract and the FAR.
5. Coordinate, prepare, and submit contract deliverables in a timely manner.
6. Run management/financial reports for Project Managers using Deltek/Cost Point.
7. Assist with monthly Excel billing reports for GSA.
8. Interface with the Finance, Accounting, and Contracts team for related project/program issues.
9. Support the tracking and processing of subcontractor and vendor invoices.
10. Maintain various project budgets, such as travel/ODCs, and support associated workflows.

Qualifications

1. Ability to work remote 100% of the time in any location.
2. Must be analytical with a demonstrated ability to meet goals and deadlines accurately in a fast-paced environment.
3. Strong Excel skills are essential.
4. Two Plus years experience in project control or financial accounting preferred.
5. Excellent communication and customer service skills.
6. Ability to work independently and as a member of a team.
7. Ability to perform simple accounting procedures.
8. Records maintenance skills.
9. Strong analytical skills and ability to multi-task a must.
10. Experience with Deltek/Cost Point a plus.

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Finance, Accounting, or related field.

Even better if you have these desired skills:

Experience in Smartsheet.
