Qualifications

  • DoD Acquisition experience preferred; accounting/audit experience helpful.
  • Experience with Deltek Costpoint and Cognos reporting.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze project financial data and prepare forecasts and reports.
  • Apply financial control procedures and forecast to ensure budget alignment.
  • Provide internal financial reporting and leadership-ready presentations.
  • Coordinate travel funding and cost reporting with stakeholders.
  • Communicate risks and deviations to program leadership.

Position Summary

Odyssey is seeking a Program Control Analyst who will provide on-site project management/administrative support and coordination for our CCN2 portfolio in Niceville, FL. Duties may include contract accounting and reporting, financial performance analysis, contract funding and expenditure analysis and reporting, contract billing review, and budget variance analysis with a primary focus on contract travel requirements.

This role offers a chance to make a direct impact in a fast-paced, high-visibility environment, providing financial and program management support for critical defense initiatives. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment. This position is ideal for a motivated professional looking to develop and grow their financial and personnel management expertise while contributing to projects of national importance.

This is a hybrid position, requiring 3 days per week on-site.

Responsibilities

Duties include, but are not limited to:

Financial Planning & Analysis:
  • Apply financial and accounting principles for preparation and analysis of project financial and scheduling data and other contract or project business-related tasks.
  • Employ financial control procedures and forecasting techniques to evaluate contract/program/task status and ensure compliance with government and customer requirements. This may include ensuring funding is available and recommending adjustments to budgetary plans and forecasts to ensure execution within the contract budget.
  • Provide internal financial reporting and forecasting to the collaborating Program Control Analyst(s) as well as Program Leadership.
  • Participate in financial analysis review with the leadership team; build presentation material for leadership review.
  • Maintain insight into all travel financial execution and projections, actively coordinating with Government, Odyssey, and Subcontractor points of contact to ensure accurate and timely authorization and expense reports, as well as invoices, are produced and delivered accurately on time.
  • Assess funding health to ensure appropriate levels are projected and available to support contract requirements.
  • Readily communicate financial needs to expedite funding transactions needed for the continuity of operations.
Operations & Contract Execution:
  • Ensure compliance with internal procedures and government procurement regulations.
  • Actively engage with Odyssey managers and/or travelers to ensure optimal employee travel funding usage per contract requirements.
  • Participate in recurring meetings coordinating with multiple Odyssey departments, including Odyssey Accounting, Finance, and Contracts Department POCs.
  • Be able to manage a myriad of tasks and initiatives simultaneously. Actively manage a predictable routine 'battle rhythm' that enables efficiency and continuous process improvement.
  • Communicate effectively with the program stakeholders to review requests, reports, invoices, and contract deliverables to explain detail, identify and provide analysis and forward notice of risks or issues, and alert of actual or potential deviations.
  • Assist in providing financial and operational analysis to provide insight and recommendations regarding execution of program(s) including interaction with Test Wing Enterprise System (TWES) Advisory and Assistance (A&AS) Tool and/or Job Order Cost Accounting System (JOCAS), as needed.
Qualifications

Citizenship: Must be a US citizen

Minimum Required Qualifications

Clearance: Secret Clearance

Education and experience: BS in Accounting, Finance, or Business and at least 5 years of experience in a financial planning and analysis, financial management, or cost analysis role.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Department of Defense Acquisition experience
  • Accounting and/or Financial Audit experience
  • Experience with DELTEK Costpoint and Cognos reporting

Technical Skills

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, connecting external data, consolidating data, and utilizing complex formulas.
  • Experience with Job Order Cost Accounting System (JOCAS)
  • Experience with Test Wing Enterprise System (TWES) Advisory and Assistance (A&AS) Tool

Interpersonal Skills

  • Strong ability to communicate across all levels of the organization with both internal and external customers

Location: Niceville, FL

Travel: 5%

Remote, Onsite, or Hybrid: Hybrid role, 3 days a week in the office (typically Tues-Thurs)
