Job summary

Odyssey Systems is seeking a Financial Manager to support DoD financial management, budget formulation, execution, and contract closeouts for the Special Access Programs communities. This role is 100% onsite at Hanscom AFB, MA.

Candidate must be a US citizen with a Secret clearance and a Bachelor's degree (Master's preferred). Ten or more years of experience in DoD financial management are required, with responsibilities spanning forecasting, ULO management, and SER preparation.

Responsibilities

• Assist, prepare, and deliver documents for financial management activities (PPBE, budgeting, execution).

• Prepare documents for Spring Execution Review (SER).
• Assist with Fiscal Year closeout.

Position Summary

Odyssey Systems is recruiting for a Financial Manager supporting the Special Access Programs communities. This position will support DoD financial management, budget formulation (building a budget), budget enactment, budget execution and contract closeouts. The Odyssey team provides evolving programmatic, financial, engineering, cybersecurity management and analytical solutions to the Special Programs Division Advanced Technology Branch. We augment the Branch’s organic capabilities with Advisory and Assistance Services (A&AS) support. Personnel perform work that is an integral part of day-to-day operation across the portfolio to include both legacy and new capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Assist, prepare, and deliver documents in support of a variety of financial management activities to include, but not limited to: Planning, Programming, Budgeting, Executing (PPBE), Program Types, and tracking data
• Knowledge of financial management and accounting functions, processes, and analytical methods and techniques to gather, analyze, evaluate and present information as required
• Maintain program budget and all other financial tracking documentation
• Able to perform budget forecasting tasks, variance identification and analysis, program or financial execution reporting and reviews
• Manage unliquidated obligations (ULO)
• Document preparation for Spring Execution Review (SER)
• Fiscal Year Closeout Assistance
• Manage & track unfunded requirements Ability to track expiring/cancelling funds

Qualifications

Minimum Required Qualifications

Citizenship: Must be a US citizen

Clearance: Must have and be able to maintain a Secret level Clearance (Investigation within the last 6 years)

Education: Bachelor's Degree in a related field

Years of Experience: 10+ years of experience

Preferred Qualifications

Education: Master's Degree
