Job summary

State Bar of Texas is seeking a detail-oriented assistant to support program attorneys and coordinators in producing continuing legal education materials. The role involves article formatting, data entry, and preparing course materials for live and online seminars.

Ideal candidates will have strong Word/Access skills, typing speed, proofreading accuracy, and customer service experience. Travel may be occasional, and some college or law-related experience is preferred.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; some college preferred.
  • Two years of office experience required.
  • Proficient in Word and Access with accurate proofreading skills.

Responsibilities

  • Format articles and create headers/footers, TOC, margins, and styles.
  • Answer questions from volunteer speakers/authors about formatting.
  • Enter final wrap-up data and maintain program data in a database.
  • Compile course articles in digital form for production.
  • Convert presentations to PDF for uploading to the web page.
  • Assist in notes, as backup for Program Coordinators, and gather materials.
  • Fulfill article-related requests to support research and updates.
  • Prepare materials for in-person and virtual seminars.
