Job summary

Youth Focus and Alexander Youth Network collaborate to support pregnant and parenting youth at The Youth Focus’ My Sister Susan’s House. The Program Coach helps residents set goals, learn independent living skills, and participate in group activities in a therapeutic, on-site setting.

The role is a 3rd shift standby/sleep position (11:00 PM–8:00 AM, Wed–Sat). Sleep hours are paid at federal minimum wage; awake hours and daytime shifts are paid at the agency wage.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 21 years of age.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience with the population is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with goal setting and independent living skills.
• Facilitate groups and supervise activities.
• Provide transportation and accompany youth as needed.
• Ensure housing environment is clean and tour ready.
• Administer medications as needed in a therapeutic setting.

The Program coach provides support to youth in a residential setting, helping them learn independent living skills. The program coach is responsible for assisting clients with goal setting, providing case management, facilitating groups, supervising outings, providing transportation, ensuring the house is clean and tour ready, administering medications as needed, and providing overall support in a therapeutic environment.This is a 3rd shift standby/sleep position at The Youth Focus’ My Sister Susan’s House program. This position is on-site, providing standby support during overnight hours. While on standby, Program Coach can sleep. Sleep hours are paid at the federal minimum wage. Program Coach’s agency wage is paid for any awake hours or for other day-time shifts worked.Schedule: 3rd Shift – standby/sleep - 36 hour:Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays (11:00pm until 8:00am the following morning)A full job description can be provided to interested/qualified candidates.Education and ExperienceMinimum of 21 years of age.High School Diploma/ Equivalent Required. Experience with population preferred.Job applicants must be female - This program serves expectant or new mothers, and the staff member works alone for the majority of her shift.
