Job summary

Alexander Youth Network seeks a Program Coach for The My Sister Susan’s House, a supervised housing program for pregnant and parenting youth. You will support residents with daily living skills, goal setting, and access to community resources in a warm, trauma-informed environment.

The role requires empathy, reliability, and flexibility to work in the evenings or on weekends as needed. Training is provided, and you will collaborate with clinical staff to promote safety, health, and successful

Qualifications

• Minimum age 21 years.
• High School Diploma/Equivalent required; experience with population preferred.
• Job applicants must be female; program serves expectant or new mothers; staff may work solo shifts and assist with personal hygiene and prenatal/postnatal care.

Responsibilities

• Provide support to youth in a residential setting and help them learn independent living skills.
• Assist with goal setting, case management, and facilitating groups.
• Supervise outings, provide transportation, and ensure the house is tour-ready and clean.
• Administer medications as needed and support residents in a therapeutic environment.

What You’ll Do

The Youth Focus’ My Sister Susan’s House (MSSH) provides supervised housing for pregnant and parenting youth ages 16-21 for up to 18 months. The Program coach provides support to youth in a residential setting, helping them learn independent living skills. The program coach is responsible for assisting clients with goal setting, providing case management, facilitating groups, supervising outings, providing transportation, ensuring the house is clean and tour ready, administering medications as needed, and providing overall support in a therapeutic environment.

Qualifications

Education and Experience

• Minimum of 21 years of age.
• High School Diploma/ Equivalent Required. Experience with population preferred.
• Job applicants must be female - This program serves expectant or new mothers, and the staff member works alone for the majority of her shift. Because the job requires rooms checks and assistance with personal hygiene, breast feeding, and pre- and post-natal care.
