Job summary

Alexander Youth Network seeks a Program Coach for the My Sister Susan’s House (MSSH) in Greensboro to support pregnant and parenting youth aged 16-21 in a residential setting.

You will help clients set goals, manage cases, lead groups, supervise activities, and provide transportation while ensuring a clean, safe, and tour-ready home. Medication administration and prenatal/postnatal care may be required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 21 years of age.
• High School Diploma/Equivalent required.
• Experience with population preferred.
• Gender requirement: female staff for this program serving expectant/new mothers; shift often solo; care includes rooms checks, personal hygiene, breastfeeding, and pre- and post-natal care.

Responsibilities

• Provide support to youth in a residential setting and help them learn independent living skills.
• Assist clients with goal setting and case management.
• Facilitate groups, supervise outings, and provide transportation.
• Ensure house is clean and tour-ready; adminster medications as needed.
• Provide overall support in a therapeutic environment.

What You'll Do:

The Youth Focus’ My Sister Susan’s House (MSSH) provides supervised housing for pregnant and parenting youth ages 16-21 for up to 18 months. The Program coach provides support to youth in a residential setting, helping them learn independent living skills. The program coach is responsible for assisting clients with goal setting, providing case management, facilitating groups, supervising outings, providing transportation, ensuring the house is clean and tour ready, administering medications as needed, and providing overall support in a therapeutic environment.

Qualifications: Education and Experience

• Minimum of 21 years of age.
• High School Diploma/ Equivalent Required. Experience with population preferred.
• Job applicants must be female - This program serves expectant or new mothers, and the staff member works alone for the majority of her shift. Because the job requires rooms checks and assistance with personal hygiene, breast feeding, and pre- and post-natal care.
