  • Drive the creation of program-related communications, including internal humanitarian briefings, disaster-related situation reports and partner updates, and externally facing monthly program updates and program milestone reports.
  • Support Airlink’s emergency coordination activities, including maintenance of regional communities of practice and associated communications channels; disaster-time coordination calls; and quarterly regional community calls.
  • Collect and review reporting from response partners associated with shipments and passenger mobilization, including distribution information and the impact of Airlink support on emergency-affected communities.
  • Provide support to administrative and special projects, including webinars, partner learning events, and internal operations meetings.

Airlink is a Washington, DC-based nonprofit humanitarian logistics organization that connects airlines with vetted nonprofits to deliver disaster responders and supplies to communities in crisis worldwide. Airlink and its airline partners have transported over 15,000 passengers and 8,100 tons of cargo in support of a broad range of humanitarian initiatives that have provided aid to more than 75 million people. Airlink has saved our NGO partners more than $57,000,000 in transport costs.

Position Summary

Reporting to the Humanitarian Programs Manager, the Program Associate, Global Programs is responsible for direct support of Airlink’s global disaster response and coordination operations. The Program Associate will work closely with all members of the Humanitarian Programs Team, supporting deployment of responders and cargo, disaster-related information management and coordination needs (situation reports, internal briefings), nonprofit onboarding and database management, and other cross-team support functions, as dictated by program needs.

Due to the nature of Airlink's mission in support of disaster response, there will occasionally be an expectation to work extended hours or on weekends and holidays, with limited advance notice. The Program Associate, Global Programs provides flexible support across regions to respond to changing priorities, peak workloads, or emerging needs.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or relevant work experience and High School diploma.
  • Prior work experience in the nonprofit, humanitarian, or logistics sectors
  • Oral and written communication skills in English, including report writing and editing.
  • Experience with Monday.com, Salesforce, or other program management and CRM software.
  • Unrestricted authorization to work in the United States is required.
Preferred Skills & Personal Characteristics
  • Master’s Degree in Humanitarian Affairs, International Development, or Logistics.
  • Strong critical thinking and analytical skills, with the ability to process large volumes of information dynamically in a changing operational environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to multitask and reprioritize in response to evolving operational needs.
  • Familiarity with humanitarian logistics, supply chain operations, or emergency response contexts.
  • Working proficiency in Arabic, Spanish, or French.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team, with a balanced focus on personal accountability and team goals.
Location:

Airlink is headquartered in downtown Washington, D.C. andoperatesa hybrid work schedule with the team in-office three daysperweek. Given the collaborative nature of thisin-personposition, we are only considering candidates who are in or willing torelocateto the Washington, D.C. area.

Compensation & Benefits:

The salary range for this position is $55,000 to $70,000. Additionally, Airlink provides a comprehensive benefits package including, but not limited to:
