Job summary

World Relief Upstate SC seeks a Program Assistant to support Economic Empowerment programs including Matching Grant, RSS Employment, Adult Education, and Walk-In Services. You will help newly arrived refugees and immigrants build English, life skills, and connect with resources to achieve self-sufficiency.

This entry-level role offers hands-on experience helping clients adjust to life in a new country. Candidates should show compassion, patience, accountability, and willingness to seek guidance

Qualifications

• Mature and personal Christian faith
• Committed to the mission, vision, and values of World Relief
• Desire to serve and empower the Church to impact vulnerable communities
• Able to affirm World Reliefs Core Beliefs, Statement of Faith, Christian Identity and NAEP For the Health of The Nation document
• Valid driver’s license, access to reliable vehicle and ability to pass MVR standards
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, and Word) and internet applications
• Experience in a social service setting assisting people in need
• Demonstrated understanding of case management processes

Responsibilities

• Assist Employment Specialists with client care and case management for new arrivals and established clients.
• Help clients build resumes, complete job applications, and prepare for interviews.
• Support job placements through application assistance, interview preparation, and transportation as needed.
• Help facilitate job-readiness classes.
• Conduct 6-month, 12-month, and 180-day follow-ups to support job retention and program outcomes.
