Job summary

World Relief in Upstate SC seeks a Program Assistant to support Economic Empowerment programs, helping newly arrived and established refugees and immigrants find employment, build English and life skills, and connect with community resources.

This entry-level, full-time role emphasizes compassion, accountability, and collaboration with specialists to guide clients toward self-sufficiency; requires Christian faith and commitment to World Relief's mission.

Qualifications

• Must have mature Christian faith and be committed to World Relief's mission.
• Able to affirm World Relief's beliefs and values.
• Experience in social services or helping vulnerable populations is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist Employment Specialists with client care and case management for new arrivals and established clients.
• Help clients build resumes, complete job applications, and prepare for interviews.
• Support job placements through application assistance, interview prep, and transportation as needed.
• Help facilitate job-readiness classes.
• Conduct follow-ups at 6 and 12 months and 180 days to support retention.
