Position Summary

NEOMED is a mission‑driven, community‑based medical university committed to educating health professionals, advancing discovery, and improving the health of our region. The Program Assistant will provide administrative support and customer service for designated department management and/or programs. The role will serve as liaison between program staff, faculty, students, and constituents to support program activities in a collaborative academic environment.

Principal Functional Responsibilities
  • Provide administrative support and customer service for designated department management and/or program(s), including scheduling meetings, preparing meeting agendas, drafting correspondence, serving as receptionist to greet visitors, answer phones and general office inquiries, and maintaining program documentation, files, and records in accordance with organizational policies and procedures.
  • Support program activities as requested (e.g., proctoring exams, lectures, departmental events) and serve as liaison between program staff, faculty, students, and other constituents.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Minimum 1‑year related work experience in an office environment.
  • Experience in higher education.
Physical Requirements

Must be able to utilize a phone, computer and other office equipment.

Starting Pay Rate Range: $16.42 – $18.43, commensurate with experience.
