Role Description

The Program Assistant is a full-time, on-site role based in Birmingham, Alabama. This position supports the daily operations of the assistive technology lending library, including organizing equipment, coordinating loans and returns, maintaining accurate records, and assisting with inventory management. The Program Assistant helps prepare and set up devices for training sessions and demonstrations, provides basic information to visitors and program participants, and supports staff with scheduling, communication, and documentation. The role also involves responding to inquiries, updating program materials, and collaborating with colleagues to ensure that services are delivered efficiently and respectfully to all community members.

Qualifications
  • Ability to manage program logistics, including scheduling, record-keeping, and basic inventory tracking.
