Job summary

CLEAResult is seeking a Program & Market Analyst to support data-driven decision-making for energy efficiency programs. You will gather data, build dashboards, and produce insights guiding outreach, forecasting, and program design.

The role collaborates with program and shared services teams to analyze data and deliver reports for leadership and clients. Based in Oregon preferred, the position emphasizes accuracy, confidentiality, and timely analyses.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business, economics, data analytics, engineering, or related field, or graduate degree; 5+ years of experience in energy efficiency program analysis or related analytical role; if no degree, 8+ years of experience.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with the ability to translate data into insights for decision-making.
  • Excellent writing and communication abilities for diverse audiences.
  • Proficiency in MS Office; experience with SQL and Power BI or Tableau for analysis and visualization.
  • Knowledge of statistical frameworks or tools such as R is preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a dynamic setting.

Responsibilities

  • Create, review, and maintain dashboards and datasets tracking activity, savings, and incentive spend.
  • Develop monthly program characteristics, penetration, and market insight reports for internal teams and clients.
  • Interpret program data to identify indicators, trends, risks, and opportunities for program improvement.
  • Contextualize operations and performance data within market conditions, including policy trends affecting commercial customers.
  • Support monthly/annual projections of kWh savings and incentive/budget spend.
  • Monitor market intelligence including tariffs, policy changes, and equipment efficacy on measures and participation.
  • Prepare ad hoc analyses and presentations for leadership and clients.
  • Maintain data quality across program tracking systems and reporting tools.
  • Prioritize accuracy, timeliness, and confidentiality in data handling.

Job Description

We are looking for a talented individual to join our team as a Program & Market Analyst! At CLEAResult, we lead the transition to a sustainable, equitable, and carbon-neutral energy-efficient future for our communities and our planet. This role will support data-driven decision-making for a commercial, industrial, and agricultural energy efficiency program, gathering data and producing insights that guide outreach, measure development, forecasting, and program design activities. It will work closely with internal program, and shared services teams to analyze program data, research market conditions, and deliver reports that inform tactical and strategic decisions for the program team and the client.

For this opportunity, you're a great fit if you can:

  • Work with internal business analysts and program teams to create, review, and maintain dashboards and program datasets tracking project activity, savings, and incentive spend.
  • Develop monthly program characteristics, program penetration, and market insight reports for internal teams and client stakeholders.
  • Interpret program data to identify leading indicators, performance trends, risks, and opportunities for program improvement.
  • Contextualize program operations and performance data within broader market conditions, including economic, policy, and sector trends affecting commercial, industrial, and agricultural customers.
  • Partner with the internal forecasting team to support monthly and annual projections of kWh savings and incentive/budget spend.
  • Monitor and summarize market intelligence, including the impact of tariffs, state and federal policy or legislation, and equipment efficacy or environmental standards on program measures and participation.
  • Prepare ad hoc analyses and presentations to support tactical and strategic decision-making for program leadership and clients.
  • Maintain data quality and consistency across program tracking systems and reporting tools.
  • Prioritize accuracy, timeliness, and confidentiality in all data handling and reporting tasks.

For this exciting career opportunity, you must have:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, economics, data analytics, engineering, or a related field, or graduate degree, with 5+ years of combined experience in energy efficiency program analysis, market research, or a related analytical role. If no degree is held, 8+ years of combined experience in the above roles or related fields.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to translate program and market data into actionable insights for program and client decision-making.
  • Excellent technical and non-technical writing and communication abilities; ability to convey findings to diverse technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Strong proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook); experience with SQL and Power BI or Tableau for data analysis and visualization.
  • Knowledge of statistical frameworks or tools such as R are preferred.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision on complex analytical projects and manage multiple priorities in a dynamic setting.

Based in Oregon preferred.

Compensation Range $70,000 - $75,000 Currency USD Type Salary Any offered salary is determined based on internal equity, internal salary ranges, market data/ranges, applicant's skills and prior relevant experience, certain degrees and certifications (e.g. JD/technology), for example.
