Markel's State National Program Services unit seeks a detail-oriented analyst to support accurate processing, billing and reporting for client business as part of the Program Services Analysis and Reporting team. This role reports to the Manager, Program Analysis and Reporting and requires strong accounting knowledge and SOX control adherence.

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting; Intermediate Accounting II completed.
• Knowledge of accounting principles and procedures.
• Familiarity with SOX controls and audit assistance.

Responsabilidades

• Adhere to SOX controls and department procedures.
• Assist with ad-hoc requests and strategic projects.
• Support internal and external audit reviews.
• Assist with systems integration and testing.
• Collaborate to design and implement process improvements.
• Perform account reconciliations and issue remediation.
• Conduct trend and fluctuation analysis on underwriting data.
• Handle special reporting requests (Statutory, Premium Tax, Schedule P, Audit, Assessments).
• Understand reinsurance contracts for accounting requirements.
