Job summary

Bering-Alaka`ina Holdings (BAH) is seeking a Program Analyst to support HQMC Plans, Policies and Operations at the Pentagon in Arlington, VA.

The role requires senior level analytical capability, a strong background in military operations and experience preparing military-quality reports and planning documents. A Secret clearance and US citizenship are required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or higher; education may be substituted with greater experience/certifications.
  • Completion of Command & Staff College or equivalent Intermediate Level Education (ILE). Preferred.

About the Role

Bering-Alaka`ina Holdings (BAH) is seeking a Program Analyst to support Head Quarters Marine Corps (HQMC) Plans, Policies and Operations at the Pentagon in Arlington, VA.

Responsibilities
  • Collect strategic-level observations from Head Quarters Marine Corps (HQMC) and Supporting Establishment operations
  • Support senior leader taskings and requirements
  • Link lessons learned to policy and planning initiatives
  • Provide analytical support for HQMC decision-making processes
  • Coordinate with Supporting Establishment organizations as needed
  • Other duties as assigned by Supervisor
Required Education and Certifications
  • Bachelor's degree or higher. Education may be substituted with greater experience and/or certifications.
  • Completion of Command & Staff College or equivalent Intermediate Level Education (ILE). Preferred.
Required Skills and Experience
  • At least ten (10) years of experience serving in the US Military, with a strong preference for service in the Marine Corps. Twelve plus (12+) years required if substituting experience for education. Substituted experience may be a combination of military service, DoD civilian, or DoD contractor in similar role(s).
  • Experience in a combat arms, logistics, supply, or operations MOS or serving in a division staff level (or above) position. Prior experience supporting military policy strongly desired.
  • Prior experience conducting in-depth research and completing definitive analysis, documenting lessons learned, developing and writing military-quality reports including situational reports, developing planning documents and proposals, and creating presentations.
  • Experience developing lessons learned questionnaires and conducting interviews, or similar types of documentation and analysis.
  • Ability to communicate and interface with Military leaders and commanders at all levels.
  • Ability to work independently and proactively, build rapport with end users, customers, and unit leaders to develop effective working relationships.
  • Strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills and strong analytical skills. Proficient with Microsoft Office, 365, and SharePoint.
Preferred Skills and Experience
  • Ability to adapt to changing working environments and operational tempos.
  • Advanced understanding of military tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTP).
  • Certified Knowledge Manager (CKM), Microsoft 365 Certified: Fundamentals.
Citizenship and Clearance
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.
  • Must have an active Secret clearance.
