Job summary

NAVWAR in San Diego seeks a skilled professional to support the Command's operating program, draft initial work plans, and review ongoing projects. You will advise on budgeting and propose improvements to methods and processes.

The role requires evaluating budgeting adequacy, determining when to implement work standards, and coordinating with multiple teams. Travel to CONUS/OCONUS may be required.

Qualifications

• GS-07 requires 1 year of specialized experience at GS-05 or higher with GCPC and contracting guidance.
• GS-09 requires 1 year of specialized experience at GS-07 or equivalent with policy analysis and budgeting oversight.
• Experience may be in public or private sector; volunteer work counts toward experience.

Responsibilities

• You will provide support to the operating program of the Command.
• You will prepare initial work plans and draft reports based on procedures or observations.
• You will review operational plans and current incoming work projects.
• You will make recommendations for improving methods.
• You will advise on the adequacy of budgeting.
• You will determine the need for work standards and control systems.
