Job summary

The Fortune Society Inc. is seeking a Program Analyst in Long Island City, NY, to support program evaluation and quality improvement efforts. The role focuses on data collection, analysis, and reporting to improve service delivery and outcomes across programs.

Responsibilities include developing CQI/QA systems, monitoring performance, and coordinating with program managers on new initiatives and audits. Strong Excel/SQL skills and experience with data tools are required.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in public health, human services, criminal justice, sociology, or related field.
At least two years of relevant nonprofit or social service experience.
Strong analytical skills and ability to do big-picture thinking.
Excellent written and verbal communication; proficient in MS Office and Excel; SQL familiarity.

Responsibilities

Work with program managers to promote data-driven understanding of program performance and outcomes.
Develop and implement a system of continuous quality improvement (CQI) and quality assurance (QA).
Monitor program performance and coordinate corrective action plans as needed.
Alert senior management to issues of noncompliance or performance shortfalls and address them promptly.
Support Development team by providing data and evaluation tools; create logic models and evaluation designs.
Coordinate with program managers on start-up of new programs and contract/grant renewals; ensure data collection/reporting tasks are defined and tracked.
Serve as liaison between program staff and IT on database functionality and reporting; identify training needs.
