Job summary

Systems Planning and Analysis, Inc. (SPA) is hiring a Program Analyst to support the TRIDENT II missile program within SSP at the Washington Navy Yard/Maritime Plaza.

The role requires the ability to work on-site several days a week and to coordinate technical and programmatic systems engineering activities. Ideal candidates will have a DoD security clearance (or ability to obtain), 5+ years in defense programs, and strong writing and presentation skills.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • U.S. citizen with DoD security clearance, or ability to obtain and maintain clearance.
  • 5+ years of professional experience with defense programs.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical and programmatic systems engineering support to the TRIDENT II missile program within SSP.
  • Support headquarters level planning, development and execution related to information sharing under the Polaris Sales Agreement.
  • Establish guidelines for hardware/software connections to enable information sharing; travel 1–3 times per year.

The Strategic Division (SD) supports high-reliability organizations including Navy Strategic Systems Programs (SSP), Air Force Nuclear Weapons Center, and the Department of Energy (DOE), among others. Our support across our client base is expanding rapidly and encompasses important services, such as data analytics and visualization, threat analysis, risk management, modeling and simulation, cost estimating, earned value management, program management, system engineering, independent evaluation, and High Consequence Event prevention.

The Strategic Systems Analysis Group (SSAG) supports government and private sector strategic planning, decision making, and program management. SSAG integrates deep client knowledge, advanced analytics, and subject matter expertise to provide timely and objective technical, operational, programmatic, acquisition, and policy analysis. SSAG is hiring now for a Program Analyst supporting Navy SSP at Washington Navy Yard and surrounding areas (Maritime Plaza).

Responsibilities

The Program Analyst will provide technical and programmatic systems engineering support to the TRIDENT II missile program within SSP. They will support headquarters level planning, development and execution for a variety of activities including defining requirements for information sharing under the Polaris Sales Agreement and providing guidelines for establishing hardware and software connections to enable information sharing for the upcoming TRIDENT II missile system. Travel 1-3 times/year may be required.

Required Qualifications:

  • Ability to work at Washington Navy Yard and Maritime Plaza in Washington D.C. a minimum of 3 days per week, up to full-time, based upon the needs of the client. Travel 1-3 times per year may be required.
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • U.S. citizen with DoD security clearance, or ability to obtain and maintain clearance while employed with SPA.
  • 5+ years professional experience with defense programs.
  • Exceptional writing and presentation abilities.
  • Self-motivated with strong work ethic, time management, and interpersonal skills.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience working with Strategic Systems Programs (SSP).
  • Experience working with DoD engineering and acquisition processes.
  • Experience with US Government acquisition, US government budgeting and project planning.
Pay Range Information

Salaries are commensurate with experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Washington, DC, Pay Transparency Salary range: USD $110,000.00/Yr. - USD $145,000.00/Yr.
