Drives the successful delivery of existing projects and programs within the organization. Acts as the liaison between business stakeholders and the technical teams, ensuring business needs are clearly understood, documented, and translated into functional requirements. Oversees the execution of strategic initiatives, managing timelines, resources, and risks to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery.

Essential Functions:

  • Consults with business teams to generate comprehensive project requirements and implementation plans, leading to concise, accurate, and efficient delivery

  • Works with the development team to identify issues, troubleshoot, and provide solutions

  • Partners with business and technical teams to ensure all parties understand issues and concerns to ensure successful end product that achieves business goals

  • Drives efficiency through implementation of new solutions while focusing on the seamless integration and balance of technology and automation

  • Leads system testing, data integration testing, and user acceptance testing to ensure appropriate system functionality is delivered based on specifications

  • Monitors and evaluates system upgrades and new releases, providing deployment recommendations including time and resource assessments

  • Leads the process to integrate system deployments and upgrades and ensure no downstream effects to business utilization

  • Troubleshoots and responds to system/processing issues

  • Collaborates with necessary teams to ensure end-to-end business needs and requirements are met on every project and/or program managed

  • Leads all assigned programs to ensure EMC Life has the right digital products in place to support long term corresponding business capabilities

  • Deploys project management best practices for the creation and delivery of program plans and timelines

  • Ensures that initiatives are broken down, organized, and scoped out in support of goals and objectives to achieve the desired outcome for the program. Escalates questions, concerns, or conflicts to senior team members for assistance

  • Works with departments to define key processes, workflows, and coordinates with teams in the development of estimates and cost-benefit analysis, project delivery and resource plans, schedules, and dependencies

  • Works with administrative teams to ensure implementation requirements align with compliance and regulatory best practices

  • Utilizes understanding of systems, reporting, business needs, and integration requirements to ensure projects or programs meet business objectives

  • Acts as the subject matter expert for assigned programs post implementation

  • Serves as the primary point of contact for vendor and/or partner relationships during implementation

  • Scopes, documents, and implements partner programs and related integration needs for all assigned software and systems

  • Develops appropriately detailed specifications for program features and ensures they are clearly understood by the team

  • Partners with impacted teams on product management including product configuration and maintenance, product set up, troubleshooting, and responding to system/processing issues

  • Builds collaboration among the initiative leaders, project managers, and the delivery teams

  • Provides guidance to the program, builds consensus and support throughout the program lifecycle

  • Clearly defines project roles, responsibilities, and expectations to ensure appropriate accountability

  • Creates awareness, accountability, and alignment for program resources, ensuring deadlines are being met and team members are focused on the value-add activities in the order of priority

  • Clears roadblocks across assigned initiatives

  • Works with teams to ensure testing, validation, and production deployment efforts are managed and executed successfully

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in business, technology, or a related field or equivalent relevant experience

  • Four years of experience in business analysis or program management in technology, insurance, finance, or related experience, including cross functional, multi-partner technology engagements

  • Direct prior experience with one or more of the following enterprise systems

    • underwriting administration systems

    • policy administration systems

    • document management systems

    • project management systems

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

  • Good understanding of life insurance operations

  • Strong project management skills with the ability to navigate business and technical challenges

  • Excellent ability to identify, adopt, and implement innovative solutions

  • Strong ability to distill and communicate highly technical issues for non-technical audiences

  • Ability to work collaboratively across departments to achieve shared goals

  • Strong computer knowledge, as well as a good knowledge of standard business application computer software

  • Excellent analytical thinking and problem solving abilities

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment

The hiring salary range for this position will vary based on geographic location, falling within either the $70,646.00-$97,367.00 range or the $77,900.00-$107,353.00 range. A hiring range represents a subset of the full salary range. The actual salary will depend on several factors, includingrelevant education, skills, and experience of an applicant, geographic location, and business needs.
