240 Certification, a Texas-based alternative teacher certification program, is looking for a Program Advisor. This role involves guiding candidates through all phases of their teacher certification journey.

Main Responsibilities:

1. Perform an initial evaluation of the candidate's information and application, then create a strategic plan for their certification process.
2. Facilitate meetings with candidates to develop action plans for each certification phase, ensuring preparedness.
3. Monitor academic progress and address issues, including exam preparation.
4. Track records of candidate progress.
5. Counsel candidates on personal or professional issues affecting their development.
6. Understand and uphold 240 Certification policies and responsibilities.
7. Prioritize tasks to meet the evolving needs of candidates and the organization.
8. Achieve proficiency in multiple technical platforms to assist candidates effectively.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree
• Valid/active Texas teaching license or certification
• 5+ years of classroom teaching experience
• 2+ years mentoring or coaching new teachers
• Experience with Learning Management Systems, preferably Canvas
• Ability to travel 2-3 times/year

Preferred:

• Bilingual ability
