Job summary

The State of Ohio, Ohio Bureau of Workers' Compensation, is hiring in Columbus to enhance claims performance and customer experience. This full-time, permanent role pays hourly between $27.73 and $34.35, with standard 8:00am–5:00pm hours and on-site work at 30 West Spring Street.

You will develop customer service strategies, analyze claims data, coordinate recruitment and staff training, and oversee staff development while collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 36 mos. trg. or 36 mos. exp. in business administration, management science or public administration.
• If operating vehicles regulated by Section 4506.01 of Revised Code, must have valid commercial driver’s license.
• Or completion of undergraduate core program in business administration, management science or public administration with related supervisory/management experience.

Responsibilities

• Analyze claims performance through surveys, data tracking, and reporting tools; provide recommendations to improve operations.
• Develop and implement customer service strategies, operational guidelines, and resources to improve customer and claims experience.
• Coordinate and assist with recruitment and retention using targeted outreach, relationship-building, and employee engagement plans.
• Oversee staff training programs including onboarding, ongoing development, and training needs identification.
• Handle inquiries and complaints from internal and external stakeholders.
