Job summary

LSU's Department of Cell Biology and Anatomy seeks a Program Administrator for Anatomical Services to oversee the willed body program at LSUHSC-New Orleans. You will coordinate donors, schedules, contracts, and payments while supervising BAS staff.

Applicants must have a bachelor’s degree and at least three years of professional experience; a master's degree can substitute for two years. Funeral industry experience and invoicing experience are preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the willed body program for LSUHSC-New Orleans and the Bureau of Anatomical Services (BAS).
  • Regularly communicate with donors, potential donors and their families.
  • Ensure the prompt return of death certificates and cremated remains to donor families.
  • Provide application packets to interested individuals and answer questions.
  • Coordinate the scheduling of courses with internal departments and outside entities.
  • Provide course estimates.
  • Coordinate contracts and facility use agreements.
  • Invoice and coordinate payment with internal departments and outside entities.
  • Supervise the BAS coordinator and morgue staff.
