Professional Surveyor and Mapper

Department: Civil/Municipal

Employment Type: Full Time

Location: Texas- Remote

CPH has an opening for the following position: Professional Surveyor and Mapper.

Hiring Bonus of up to 10,000 for selected candidates!

This position is eligible for remote work but must be licensed in Florida.


Duties Include:
  • Foster and grow client relationships; develop and monitor project scope, budgeting, scheduling, and quality control for survey projects from the proposal stage through final deliverables.
  • Provide oversight of survey activities to ensure assignments meet performance goals.
  • Effectively coordinate and communicate with other project team members and provide detailed instructions to survey support personnel.
  • Keeping up with current technology and changes to the programs being used.
  • Perform calculations for field crews and mapping as needed.
  • Compile and research projects as needed prior to starting work.
  • Analyze deeds and research materials for the production of the survey.
  • Ensure that all projects stay on schedule and within budget, and discuss any issues/discrepancies with Supervisor if needed.
  • Manage office personnel assigned to your projects.
  • Coordinate with the field crew supervisor on project needs and work with field staff to ensure the desired product from the field.
  • Prioritize projects and their schedules for yourself and staff.
  • Coordinate QA/QC scheduling.
  • Monitor each project to ensure that the client is satisfied with the service and product and that all aspects of the scope have been performed fully and correctly.
  • Review timesheets of assigned staff on a daily basis for your assigned projects.
  • Coordinate and assist with project estimates as requested.

Requirements:
  • Licensed Professional Surveyor and Mapper (PSM) or (PLS) in the State of Florida and/or an additional license in Georgia is a plus.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Successful history of project management with Site Development and surveys.
  • Experience with Civil 3D to produce ALTA (NSPS) surveys, Plats, Boundary Surveys, and Topographic Surveys. Ability to review title commitments and perform records research as required to finalize a survey deliverable.
  • Subsurface Utility Engineering experience is a plus.
  • Valid driver's license with approved/acceptable driving history required.
