UPMC is currently hiring for a Full-time Registered Nurse (RN) to join our outpatient Urology office in Williamsport, PA. This is a salaried position, 5 days/week, Monday through Friday, 8:30 am - 5:00 pm, with no weekends or major holidays. - Sign-On Bonus: $6,000.00 for eligible RNs with a 2-year commitment, in addition to competitive pay & benefits.
Purpose:
As a Registered Nurse, you'll uphold high standards of care, manage nursing care for patients and families, collaborate with healthcare providers, and demonstrate commitment to the community and nursing profession.
Responsibilities:
- Assess patient condition, record vital signs, and weight.
- Draw blood and administer medications (oral, SQ, IM, IV).
- Maintain confidentiality of medical records and data.
- Ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and regulations (OSHA, CLIA, PA Dept. of Health).
- Participate in quality improvement and patient satisfaction initiatives.
- Use evidence-based practices to improve clinical care.
- Build positive relationships with team members, patients, and families.
- Handle multiple priorities and operate specialized equipment.
- Apply critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrate physical stamina for walking, standing, lifting, and positioning patients.
- Educate patients, families, students, and staff using adult learning principles.
- Support development of colleagues and new staff.
- Develop care plans considering individual needs.
- Coordinate with physicians and assist in patient assessment and education.
- Address clinical, social, safety, psychological, and spiritual issues.

Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:
- Act 33 & 34 with renewal
- Act 73 FBI Clearance
- Basic Life Support (BLS) or CPR, with skills demonstration within 30 days of hire
- Current RN license in the state or multistate license under NLC; must obtain licensure if residency changes.
