Job summary

Commend Americas is seeking a Professional Solution Engineer for a full-time, on-site role based in Mahwah, NJ. You will design, configure, support, and implement communication and security solutions meeting customer requirements and Commend standards.

Daily work includes system analysis, creating designs, supporting deployment lifecycles, and delivering product demonstrations. Travel to customer locations will be required to install, test, and train users.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience in security, public safety, industrial facilities, or mass transit environments is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Design, configure, support and implement communication and security solutions that meet customer requirements and align with Commend Americas’ technical standards.
• Perform system analysis, create solution designs and support project teams throughout the deployment lifecycle.
• Collaborate with Project Engineers, Customer Engagement and Account Owners to conduct product demonstrations, and assist in developing Commend Solutions.
• Troubleshoot deployed systems, guide customers and partners through best practices, and stay current with industry trends and Commend technologies.

Role Description

The Professional Solution Engineer is a full-time, on-site role based in Mahwah, NJ. This position is responsible for designing, configuring, supporting and implementing communication and security solutions that meet customer requirements and align with Commend Americas’ technical standards. Day-to-day work includes performing system analysis, creating solution designs and supporting project teams throughout the deployment lifecycle. The Professional Solution Engineer collaborates with Project Engineers, Customer Engagement and Account Owners to conduct product demonstrations, and assists in developing Commend Solutions. The role also involves troubleshooting deployed systems, guiding customers and partners through best practices, and staying current with industry trends and Commend technologies.

• Strong skills in solution design and system architecture for communication, security, or networking environments.
• Proficiency with IP networking, VoIP, and integration of hardware and software systems.
• Experience with system installation, configuration, testing, and troubleshooting in on-site customer environments.
• Ability to translate customer requirements into clear technical specifications and implementation plans.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with sales, project teams, and end users.
• Comfort with presenting technical information, conducting product demonstrations, and providing training.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience in security, public safety, industrial facilities, or mass transit environments is beneficial.
• Willingness to work on-site in Mahwah, NJ and travel to customer locations as needed.
