Professional Services Specialist - Custody/Law Enforcement

This is an hourly, full-time, remote role - #LI-Remote

Candidates must have experience working for a US-based local public safety agency with experience writing and editing agency policy to be considered.

The Work

The Professional Services Specialist plays a key role in ensuring client satisfaction with Lexipol’s policy content and platforms, aligning with their business needs, and resolving issues promptly. This role involves managing designated projects within specific scopes and timelines using established methods.

The Professional Services Specialist - Custody will assist Custody/Corrections clients in customizing their policy manuals to fit their agency's needs and bringing these policies online within a specified timeframe. It is a client-facing role that provides guidance on policy customization, manages Daily Training Bulletins (DTBs), and implements policy updates.

The primary focus is to leverage team expertise to deliver high-quality project leadership and guidance, completing the assigned scope within established timelines.

Focus Areas:
Policy Implementation
  • Apply knowledge of risk management principles within an agency.
  • Review existing policies for alignment with Lexipol Master Policy Content.
  • Provide project leadership in a remote team environment.
  • Guide policy editing decisions in compliance with Lexipol’s legal guidelines.
  • Conduct detailed policy editing to ensure applicability and practicality for the agency, adhering to Lexipol style and format.
Project Management
  • Oversee the entire implementation process, including timelines, task coordination, and resource management.
  • Gather and utilize client feedback for process and content improvements.
  • Manage and document all project phases.
  • Meet or exceed project timelines.
  • Coordinate client communication effectively in a remote environment.
Policy Update Management
  • Coordinate review and approval of policy updates with clients.
  • Make necessary edits based on client input.
  • Release policy updates as directed.
  • Maintain records and reports of client programs.
Daily Training Bulletin Management
  • Conduct monthly validation and release of DTBs.
  • Manage program records and reports.
Continuous Improvement
  • Provide feedback on team processes and products for ongoing improvement.
Minimum Requirements:
  • Experience in a local public safety agency leadership role in Custody or Corrections, with at least first-line supervisory experience (Sgt. or higher).
  • At least two years of policy management and editing experience in a local Custody or Corrections agency.
  • Experience with Lexipol’s online policy delivery system is a plus.
  • Experience as an LE Accreditation Manager or with accreditation processes is a plus.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to operate independently in a remote setting.
  • Bachelor’s degree in criminal justice, business administration, or a related field, with relevant experience, or equivalent experience in policy development.
Qualifications:
  • Understanding of public sector risk management principles.
  • Exceptional project and time management skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously and remotely.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and internet resources.

  • Accurate assessment of client policies.
  • Proficient review rate of 15 pages/hour.
  • Timely project completion.
  • High customer service quality.

Compensation and Benefits

Competitive salary, incentives, and comprehensive benefits including 401(k). Hourly range: $30 - $34/hour plus annual bonus.
