Job summary

BigID is seeking a Services Delivery Engineer to drive deployment and integration of discovery tools for customers and partners. You will translate requirements into working solutions, troubleshoot deployments, and collaborate with Engineering to streamline future rollouts.

You’ll work in the EST timezone, engaging with client stakeholders and internal teams to ensure successful implementations and knowledge transfer throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in a customer-facing technical role
• Experience deploying solutions in enterprise environments
• Strong troubleshooting and cross-functional collaboration skills
• Hands-on with Docker and Kubernetes deployments
• Experience with REST APIs and one or more databases (MongoDB, SQL)
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP)
• Programming or scripting in Java or Python

Responsibilities

• Partner with client stakeholders to capture technical requirements and map to business goals
• Plan and lead implementation engagements including deployment and configuration
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth rollout and integration
• Deliver technical training for admins to executives
• Identify root causes of deployment issues and drive to resolution
• Document field issues and enhancement requests with Engineering/Product

About the Role: BigID's Services team is central to how our customers succeed — we own the setup, integration, and deployment of BigID's discovery tools for customers and implementation partners. As a Services Delivery Engineer, you'll be the technical backbone of that experience: translating customer requirements into working solutions, troubleshooting deployment issues at their root cause, and partnering with Engineering and Product to make every future rollout smoother than the last. Who we seek: BigID is growing quickly, and we are expanding our Services team and seeking a Professional Services Engineer in the EST time zone. The services team plays an important role in the successful setup, integration, and deployment of BigID's discovery tools for our customers and implementation partners. This position also works to identify the root cause of any deployment issues and works with the larger team to help resolve them to ensure the success of the customer. What you’ll do: • Partner directly with client stakeholders to understand technical requirements and align them to business objectives • Plan and lead implementation engagements — deploying solution components and configuring the product to meet each client's specific environment • Collaborate across internal teams and client organizations to ensure smooth rollout and successful integration of BigID solutions • Deliver technical training tailored to the audience, from hands-on admins to executive stakeholders • Identify root causes of deployment issues and drive them to resolution • Work closely with Engineering and Product Management to document field issues, enhancement requests, and opportunities to improve the implementation process What you’ll bring: • 3+ years in a customer-facing technical role, ideally in product implementation or hands-on deployment within enterprise environments • Solid troubleshooting and operational knowledge across some combination of: Compute, Storage, Networking, Databases, DevOps, Big Data/Analytics, Security, and Application Development • Proven experience across the full solution lifecycle: problem identification, system architecture, hardware/software specification and design, implementation, testing, client training, and deployment • A proactive mindset — you look around corners for both internal and customer challenges before they become blockers • Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes deployments • Working knowledge of one or more databases: MongoDB, Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle Database, PostgreSQL, MySQL/MariaDB, or IBM DB2 • Experience with a major cloud platform: AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform • Experience working with REST APIs • Programming or scripting proficiency in Java or Python Nice to have: • Familiarity with Hadoop (Hive/Spark) • Familiarity with Data Governance, Data Privacy, and/or Data Security Posture Management tools. • Prior SaaS implementation experience Our Values: We look for people who embody our values - Care, Do, Try & Shine. • Care - We care about our customers and each other • Do - We do what it takes to make a positive impact • Try - We try our best and we don’t give up • Shine - We shine and make it our mission to always stand out BigDiversity: We’re committed to creating a culture of inclusion, diversity, and equality – across race, gender, sexuality, disability and neurodiversity – where innovation and growth thrive, every voice is heard, and everybody belongs. The annual base salary range is $90,000 - $110,000. Actual salaries will vary and are based on a candidate’s qualifications, skills, and competencies.
