Petco is seeking a Pet Stylist Apprentice to provide professional grooming services for our customers' pets. You will ensure each pet receives exceptional care, leaving them looking and feeling their best while upholding safety and hygiene standards.

The role offers opportunities for growth within the grooming salon, with training through the Pet Stylist Apprentice program and potential advancement to a Grooming Salon Leader position. Weekend, evening, and holiday availability is required.

Qualifications

• Provide professional grooming services according to client needs and breed standards.
• Demonstrate attention to safety, cleanliness, and animal welfare.
• Maintain grooming equipment and salon hygiene standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform professional grooming including bathing, drying, brushing, haircuts and styling.
• Operate and maintain grooming tools such as clippers, blades, shears, brushes and dryers.
• Prioritize pet safety and comfort and communicate with pet parents.
• Educate clients on grooming maintenance and at-home care.
• Train or support trainees in absence of a Grooming Salon Leader.
