Job summary

Petco is seeking a Pet Stylist at our grooming salon to deliver professional grooming for dogs and cats, ensuring each pet looks and feels their best.

The role requires completing the Pet Stylist Apprentice program with Petco or equivalent grooming experience, plus a HS diploma or GED is preferred. Weekend/evening/holiday availability is expected, with opportunities for mentoring and growth.

Qualifications

• Pet Stylist Apprentice program completed with Petco or grooming experience.
• HS diploma or GED preferred.
• Detail-oriented with high grooming standards.
• Strong communication with pet parents.
• Availability on weekends/evenings/holidays.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional grooming services including bathing, drying, brushing, cuts, and styling.
• Operate grooming tools safely and maintain equipment.
• Prioritize safety and well-being of every pet.
• Educate pet parents on grooming maintenance and products.
• Maintain a clean, sanitized grooming area.
• Assist and train entry-level trainees when needed.
