Job summary

Petco seeks a Pet Stylist to provide professional grooming services to customers' pets, ensuring they look and feel their best. You will use your grooming expertise to deliver high-quality care in a Petco grooming salon.

Groomers may complete the Pet Stylist Apprentice program or bring demonstrable experience, with opportunities for career development. Weekend, evening, and holiday availability is required for the grooming schedule.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of the Pet Stylist Apprentice program with Petco, or previous experience as a professional groomer.
• High-school diploma or GED preferred, though not required.
• Latitude for independent judgement and problem solving in grooming tasks.
• Results-driven with commitment to productivity and quality grooming.

Responsibilities

• Perform professional grooming services including bathing, drying, brushing, haircuts and styling, nail trimming, ear cleaning and gland cleaning.
• Operate and maintain grooming tools such as clippers, blades, shears, brushes and dryers.
• Ensure safety and well-being of every animal while delivering high customer satisfaction.
• Maintain a clean, disinfected grooming area following Petco policies.
