Job summary

Arch Capital Group Ltd. offers a summer internship in New York City focused on underwriting review, data analysis, and market outreach. The program runs June 2, 2027 – August 6, 2027 in a hybrid setup with 3 onsite days and 2 remote days. Relocation and housing are not provided.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Risk Management and Insurance, Economics, Business, Cybersecurity, or related field.
• Minimum 3.0 GPA.
• Junior or Senior with graduation between December 2027 and May 2028.

Responsibilities

• Participate in the underwriting process by reviewing account submissions, applications, and client websites.

• Review pipeline activity and organize Imageright files to maintain workflow efficiency.
• Contribute to team marketing efforts by engaging with brokers and supporting outreach initiatives.
• Present data on submission and quote metrics to help track performance and identify trends.

• Actively completing a bachelors degree in Risk Management and Insurance, Economics, Business, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related program.
• Minimum 3.0 GPA or higher.
• College level – Junior or Senior student with graduation dates between December 2027 and May 2028.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Entrepreneurial spirit along with the desire to be a continuous learner.
• Team player who collaborates effectively.
• Self-starter who can work independently and deal effectively with multiple tasks/priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Location & Work Arrangement

The program dates are June 2, 2027 – August 6, 2027. This position is classified as a hybrid position. You will work 3 days onsite and 2 days from home. This position is located in NYC. Relocation and housing assistance is not provided for this role.

Pay

For individuals assigned to or hired to work in New York City, NY, the hourly rate is $26 as of the time of posting. The breadth in the range exists to accommodate students in specialized programs such as actuarial candidates and graduate students. Any actual rate offered will take into account a number of factors including but not limited to geographic location, scope & responsibilities of the role, along with the education & qualifications of the candidate. The above range may be modified in the future.
