Qualifications

• Actively completing an area of study in Risk Management & Insurance, Economics, Business, Finance, Accounting, or related program.
• Minimum 3.0 GPA or higher.
• College level - current Junior or Senior student, with graduation dates ranging from December 2027 - May 2028.
• Strong proficiency in understanding financial statements.
• Exemplary written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong presentation and public speaking skills.
• Strong analytical skillset, with a keen ability to think through issues.
• Entrepreneurial spirit and continuous learning.
• Team player who collaborates effectively.

Responsibilities

• Support underwriting and pricing of new business under guidance of experienced underwriters.
• Gain exposure to Directors and Officers, Employment Practices Liability, Fiduciary Liability, Crime, Kidnap and Ransom, and Cyber Insurance.
• Complete financial and exposure analysis across the portfolio.
• Participate in division-specific underwriting previews of accounts.
• Contribute to benchmarking and ad hoc projects as appropriate.
• Assist in Digital Submission projects and File Audit Compliance initiatives.
• Complete claims review.
• Represent Arch professionally at internal and external industry events.

About This Internship

About This Role

Pay

For individuals assigned to or hired to work in New York City, NY, the hourly rate is $26 as of the time of posting. The breadth in the range exists to accommodate students in specialized programs such as actuarial candidates and graduate students. Any actual rate offered will take into account a number of factors including but not limited to geographic location, scope & responsibilities of the role, along with the education & qualifications of the candidate. The above range may be modified in the future. Intern position is eligible for select Arch benefits.
