Job summary

Arch Insurance Group Inc. invites students to join a hybrid internship in New York City. You will work on National Accounts Casualty exposures, supporting underwriting, pricing, and financial analyses while learning to review policies and claims.

The program runs June–August 2027 with three days onsite and two days remote. Eligible interns receive Arch benefits and professional development opportunities.

About This Internship

About This Role

Gain exposure to National Accounts Casualty (NAC), including: Workers' compensation. General and product liability. Automobile liability. Contribute to NAC Underwriting tasks including: Assist with underwriting and pricing products. Complete financial analysis. Complete exposure analysis. Review policy contracts and ratings. Review claims. Support brokers and customers.

Qualifications

Actively completing bachelor's degree in Risk Management & Insurance, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Liberal Arts, Business Administration, Marketing, or related program. Minimum 3.0 GPA or higher. College level - current Junior or Senior student, with graduation dates ranging from December 2027 - May 2028. Strong proficiency in understanding financial statements. Exemplary written and verbal communication skills. Strong presentation and public speaking skills. Strong analytical skillset, with a keen ability to think through issues Entrepreneurial spirit along with the desire to be a continuous learner. Team player who collaborates effectively. Self-starter who can work independently and deal effectively with multiple tasks/priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Location & Work Arrangement

The program dates are June 2, 2027 - August 6, 2027. This position is classified as a hybrid position. You will work 3 days onsite and 2 days from home. This position is located in New York City, NY. Relocation and housing assistance is not provided for this role.

Pay

For individuals assigned to or hired to work in New York City, NY, the hourly rate is $26 as of the time of posting. The breadth in the range exists to accommodate students in specialized programs such as actuarial candidates and graduate students. Any actual rate offered will take into account a number of factors including but not limited to geographic location, scope & responsibilities of the role, along with the education & qualifications of the candidate. The above range may be modified in the future. Intern position is eligible for select Arch benefits.
