Professional Learning Specialist, Mid Atlantic

As a Professional Learning Specialist, you will serve as a source of insight and creativity, helping our customers effectively utilize our educational software combined with instructional strategies to meet their goals.

You will be part of the Professional Learning Group, delivering high-quality live webinars, virtual and on-site professional development sessions, and live events focused on product implementation and usage inspiration.

Ideal candidates are natural presenters, people persons, highly organized, creative, well-spoken, and eager to join a collaborative, energetic team.

This is a full-time remote position for candidates located in the Mid Atlantic region of the United States.

Responsibilities

1. Deliver high-quality live and recorded professional development sessions to customers to promote engagement and usage of IXL.
2. Travel regionally (30-50%) to deliver professional development sessions and lead live events in schools and districts.
3. Organize and coordinate professional development sessions for assigned customers.
4. Assist customers in achieving educational objectives by creating aligned learning experiences.
5. Partner with Customer Success and Sales teams to manage and grow customer relationships.

Qualifications

• BA/BS degree.
• Minimum 4 years of teaching experience in a K-12 setting; leadership experience is a plus.
• High school teaching experience required.
• Experience in professional development preferred.
• Familiarity with web-based instructional technologies.
• Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills, enthusiastic, positive, and collaborative attitude.
• Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple projects.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Self-starter with a passion for educational technology improvement.
• Experience with Google Apps and Zoom.
• Must reside near a major airport.
