Magma Math, an innovative edtech company, seeks a Professional Learning Manager to drive teacher engagement through effective use of their platform. This role combines content creation with delivery of professional learning sessions, empowering educators and improving student outcomes in math education across the US.
About Magma Math
Magma is one of the world’s fastest-growing and most celebrated edtech companies, transforming math education through the power of AI. Our platform turns handwritten solutions into digital insights, empowering teachers to focus on creativity and deeper learning — while giving them real-time visibility into student progress.
The result? More inclusive, engaging, and effective math classrooms for all learners.
But we’re not just building better tools. We’re tackling one of the biggest challenges in global education: math underperformance. With 1 in 5 students globally struggling in math — a subject that forms the backbone of so many career paths — we believe the opportunity to improve outcomes at scale is massive.
We’re already the go-to solution in thousands of schools — and we’re just getting started. As we expand rapidly across the U.S. and Europe, we’re building a team as ambitious as our mission: to help millions of students unlock their full potential in math.
About the Role
As Professional Learning Manager, you will oversee a shifting and growing initiative at Magma Math in collaboration with our Director of Learning and Teaching. We believe very strongly in the power of educating our district teachers, coaches, and leaders about using Magma Math in the classroom to promote meaningful mathematical discourse. As we grow, we are looking to formalize the Professional Learning function and content we present to drive better outcomes with our districts and to meet the demands of our customer base.
Your primary mission is to create meaningful content that drives successful long term use of Magma Math. Content should focus on a diverse range of topics, both with a high level pedagogical focus on practices like Building Thinking Classrooms and The Five Practices and a low level focus on research-informed best practices in general and with different use cases like small group instruction, model lesson planning, and entry points for classroom discourse. All sessions should be developed through the lens of driving success using the Magma Math platform.
In addition to content development, you will also be responsible for presenting it to partner districts during Professional Learning engagements across the U.S. You may also join Customer Success Managers or for customers onboardings and professional learning sessions they run or that are jointly owned as well as classroom visits with district partners to model effective use of the Magma Math platform.
