Job summary

FirstService Residential is seeking a Housekeeper/Janitor to perform cleaning and maintenance across indoor and outdoor areas. You will inspect work, report findings, and ensure safety and sanitation standards are met. This full-time role includes benefits and regular Monday–Friday scheduling.

The position requires high school completion, custodial experience, and strong customer service with good communication. Training on equipment and safety procedures is provided.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalency preferred.
• Previous custodial experience preferred.
• Multiple language fluency is desirable.
• Strong customer service, communication and interpersonal skills required.

Responsibilities

• Performs cleaning/maintenance duties including sweeping, mopping, dusting and window cleaning.
• Informs Supervisor of needed supplies and reports discrepancies.
• Maintains cleaning solutions per OSHA guidelines for hazardous chemicals.
• Removes trash and assists in emergency cleaning.
• Uses new equipment safely and follows safety procedures.
• Keeps a friendly and professional attitude at all times.
• Ensures sanitary levels and supplies are adequate for assigned areas.
• Inspects areas daily and reports issues to Supervisor.
• Cleans restrooms with routine duties and refills dispensers as needed.
• Completes daily work orders and maintains equipment in good condition.
