DeKalb Park District seeks an energetic Bartender for Hopkins Park Community Center events in DeKalb, IL. This part-time, non-exempt position requires serving beverages, managing tabs, and ensuring guests meet age requirements.

Responsibilities include maintaining safety, handling cash, communicating with event staff, and upholding district policies. Evening, weekend, and holiday hours are required.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• CPR/AED and First Aid certification required, or obtain certification within two months.
• Current TIPS, Safe Food Handlers, and BASSET certifications preferred.

Responsabilités

• Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages in a professional and responsible manner.
• Accurately keep and collect bar tabs and/or account for sales through register.
• Verify age of guests (21+) by checking identification.
• Follow all applicable laws and regulations regarding alcohol service and signs of intoxication.
• Maintain a clean, sanitary bar area and assist with event setup/takedown as needed.
• Interact professionally with staff and the public and support event operations.
