Job summary

Southwest Truck & RV in Prescott Valley, AZ is seeking an experienced Diesel Technician to accurately diagnose complex failures with minimal supervision, develop repair plans, and complete high-quality repairs the first time. The role covers gas and diesel engines for trucks and RVs, with a focus on heavy-duty systems and preventive maintenance.

We provide up-to-date tools and equipment, a supportive team, and a schedule of Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM, with competitive pay ($35-$55/hour) and

Qualifications

• Experience diagnosing diesel systems on heavy-duty engines.
• Electrical & diagnostic skills demonstrated.
• Experience with Powerstroke, Duramax, Cummins engines.
• Heavy-duty truck and RV work background.
• Experience with injectors, turbochargers, fuel systems, HVAC, brakes, steering and drivability.
• Experience with preventive maintenance and inspections.
• Ability to work independently and efficiently.
• Strong documentation and communication abilities.
• Dependable, organized, and accountable.
• Own professional technician tools.
• ASE certifications are a plus, but not required.
• CDL is a plus, but not required.

PROFESSIONAL DIESEL TECHNICIAN - SOUTHWEST TRUCK & RV

Prescott Valley, AZ | Monday-Friday | No Weekends

Up to $115,000+ per year depending on experience and performance

Southwest Truck & RV is looking for an experienced, professional Diesel Technician who can accurately diagnose complex failures with little to no supervision, develop a repair plan, and complete quality repairs correctly the first time. We are a locally owned, professional repair facility working on a wide variety of vehicles, including gas-powered vehicles, light-duty diesel pickups, Class 7 & 8 diesel trucks, RVs, trailers, and Onan generators. Our RV work is engine and chassis - no coach work.

What We're Looking For:

• Strong diesel diagnostic and repair experience


• Strong electrical and diagnostic skills


• Experience with Powerstroke, Duramax and Cummins


• Heavy-duty truck and/or RV experience


• Experience with injectors, turbos, fuel systems, HVAC, brakes, steering/suspension and drivability concerns


• Preventive maintenance and inspection experience


• Ability to work independently and efficiently


• Good documentation and communication skills


• Dependable, organized and accountable


• Own professional technician tools


• ASE certifications are a plus, but not required


• CDL is a plus but not a requirement

What We Provide:

Experienced and competent front office personnel. The proper equipment and support to set up the team for success. Our shop provides up-to-date scan tools, scopes, vehicle lifts - including lifts for commercial trucks and RVs - and each technician is provided a laptop loaded with the software needed to succeed.

Pay & Benefits:

• $35-$55/hour (hourly wage not flat rate) depending on experience
