Paul Weiss is seeking aProfessional Development Coordinatorto join our dynamic and collaborative team to support the training and development of attorneys across our Corporate and Transactional departments.
Working closely with the firm’s Director of Professional Development and Professional Development Senior Managers, you will be part of a team that develops and implements innovative, effective and high-quality firm-wide substantive and skills-oriented training programs in a supportive and dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Training Design and Coordination: The Coordinator will be responsible for ensuring that the firm’s training programs, projects and initiatives are conducted in a professional manner and that the services delivered are of the highest quality.
- Coordinate the logistics for assigned Corporate and Transactional practice groups training including drafting and updating invites, drafting reminder emails, preparing hard copy/electronic materials, reserve conference rooms, organize catering requests, setting up conference rooms, greeting presenters and answering questions, etc.
- Draft continuing legal education “CLE” compliance documents, including sign-in sheets, affirmation forms, timed agendas, evaluations, etc.
- Assist with the logistics for the corporate/transactional department-specific aspects of New Associate Orientation and other conferences including, planning, program logistics and recordkeeping
- Attend and monitor live training programs and remote training programs
- Support the Directors and Senior Managers with the Professional Development summer associate trainings, assist in creating the summer associate training schedule, coordinate all training logistics and upload training recordings in a timely manner
- Department-wide Administration Management
- Maintain and update the firm’s compliance training database by entering CLE credit information for attorneys in a timely manner
- Maintain and update the practice group training calendars, schedules, attendance tracking and resource centers in real time
- Collaborate with the professional development team to deliver effective and engaging training programs and initiatives and implement improved processes for feedback collection, tracking institutional knowledge, etc.
- Assist in responding to attorney questions about training and development resources
- Handle department administrative tasks, including “one-off” projects, as needed
- Serve as general back-up support to other Coordinators, Managers, Directors and Chief for all programs and events

Skills/Strengths:

- Flexibility and adaptability to manage multiple priorities and shift focus quickly in a fast-paced environment
- A proactive, problem-solving, client service-oriented mindset, including ability to work well with a team and effectively interface with lawyers at all levels and Operational staff
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PPT), Zoom, and other relevant software and platforms.
- Experience with, iManage/DeskSite, intranet systems and CE Manager preferred
Background:
- 2+ years of administrative experience in a law firm or a professional services firm preferred
- Experience in training and development, legal personnel, recruitment, human resources or other talent management roles a plus
This is a hybrid role which requires in-office attendance in accordance with the schedule set forth by the department. A hybrid schedule is an essential function of this role.
$65,000 – $82,000. Paul, Weiss offers competitive compensation and benefits packages. The firm considers a number of factors when determining compensation, including, but not limited to, education, years of experience, levels of experience, competency levels and other relevant skills and qualifications.
