Job summary

UPMC Muncy Place is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant for a full-time, 40-hour position. The shift runs 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM with every other weekend and holiday rotation. A $2,000 sign-on bonus is offered.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct resident care as directed by RN/LPN, including bathing, feeding, dressing, transporting, toileting, and ambulating.
• Maintain a safe and organized environment: safety checks, clean rooms/equipment, change linens, keep hallways clear.
• Respond promptly to resident needs and calls.
• Assist with meal delivery and feeding; refill water pitchers.
• Record care in medical records per procedures.
• Report changes in resident status to RN/LPN promptly.
• Support with supplies/equipment to sustain care delivery.
• Participate in unit activities and call-light management.
• Apply and monitor restraints per protocol; offer diversional activities to reduce restraint use.

As a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) at UPMC Muncy Place, you’ll play a vital role in delivering high-quality resident care and support services. Responsibilities

• Provide direct resident care as directed by RN/LPN, including bathing, feeding, dressing, transporting, toileting, and ambulating.
• Maintain a safe and organized environment: complete safety checks, clean rooms and equipment, change linens, and keep hallways clear.
• Respond promptly to resident needs and calls.
• Assist with meal delivery and feeding; refill water pitchers.
• Perform routine tests such as weights, vital signs, and intake/output.
• Communicate changes in resident status to RN/LPN in a timely manner.
• Acquire and distribute supplies and equipment to support care delivery.
• Participate in unit activities: answering call lights, passing meal trays, transporting residents.
• Apply, monitor, and remove restraints per protocol; provide diversional activities to reduce restraint use.
• Document care in medical records per established procedures.
• Comply with all safety policies, including standard precautions and bloodborne pathogen protocols.
• Respond to emergent situations within CNA scope.
