Job summary

UPMC Muncy Place is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant for a full-time, 40-hour position with a 2:30PM - 11:00PM shift. The role includes every other weekend and holiday rotation, and a $2,000 sign-on bonus is offered.

You will assist residents with daily living activities, support care under RN/LPN direction, and contribute to a safe, compassionate care environment. Responsibilities include direct resident care, safety checks, meal assistance, vital signs, and accurate documentation.

Qualifications

• Maintain current CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct resident care as directed by RN/LPN, including bathing, feeding, dressing, transporting, toileting, and ambulating.
• Maintain a safe and organized environment: complete safety checks, clean rooms and equipment, change linens, and keep hallways clear.
• Respond promptly to resident needs and calls.
• Assist with meal delivery and feeding; refill water pitchers.
• Perform routine tests such as weights, vital signs, and intake/output.
• Communicate changes in resident status to RN/LPN in a timely manner.
• Acquire and distribute supplies and equipment to support care delivery.
• Participate in unit activities: answering call lights, passing meal trays, transporting residents.
• Apply, monitor, and remove restraints per protocol; provide diversional activities to reduce restraint use.
• Document care in medical records per established procedures.
• Comply with all safety policies, including standard precautions and bloodborne pathogen protocols.
• Respond to emergent situations within CNA scope.
